Man punches driver, steals car for being on 'his road'
TOKYO —
Police said Wednesday they have arrested a man for assaulting a driver and stealing his car in Tokyo’s Musashimurayama last month.
According to police, the incident happened on May 16. Police said they received several reports of a drunken man shouting, “This is my road,” TV Asahi reported. The man, who has been named as 49-year-old Nobuo Osanai, reportedly blocked the road, shouted at and then punched a 41-year-old male driver, before stealing his car.
Osanai has denied the charges, police were quoted as saying.

The directions to avoid this conflict was in his name- they shouldn'tve "pushed" him....

Of course! He was drunk and doesn't remember a thing ...which makes him innocent!...according to most defense cases.

That's why these ojisans urinate in public. I thought it was a drunken thing, but to my surprise, they're in fact marking their territories!

Had the guy not been drinking and was driving, I would have given him a thumbs up.... seems this is not the case though. Japan needs to come to gripes with its alcohol problems.

This is "My Way". By the way, the car was found the next day in a parking lot.

The driver should have hit the accelerator to let Osanai get a birds-eye view of his road.

I'm glad he was arrested. That just happens to be my road.

I can see accepting the charges, apologizing, and admitting you were drunk and don't remember. But denying the charges (especially if saying you were drunk) just seems idiotic. Did the man have injuries? I'm sure they have physical evidence.

Problem is the dearth of yards in this country. In America, he'd have the simpler option of yelling, "Get off my lawn!"

better lock your doors and windows when passing a drunkard telling you get off the road!! Learn something new everyday.

Does the road have a name ? How about Nobuo Osanai's Rd. We need to name roads. Actually this could be a new startup business to auction off road names to the highest bidders.
Okay bad idea .

As a statement, he should have just started singing, "Doing it My Way." The arresting officers might have been more sympathetic, then, and might have even sung with him.
