Hisano was quoted as saying he hated police.

Well, I think the feeling is mutual now.

What is it with these countless 50-something year old men with massive chips on their shoulders in Japan? I run into them almost everyday. I'm assuming it's the economy, combined with bad personal habits (such as drinking). Still, it's like they never grew up. 17 year old juvenile delinquents in a 57 year old body.

"What is it with these countless 50-something year old men with massive chips on their shoulders in Japan?" In Chicago they would become a hot slot.

Is this kind of news (where nobody gets hurt) a sort of comedy in Japan?

Kamikaze actually means martyr-ship if I'm not mistaken.

@commanteer Don't get me started. There's so many it's really crazy.

Good noone was hurt.

Well it is a combination of the economy, the fact they were most likely forced into retirement to make room for a younger hire as jobs are scarce for the younger, and that their wife hates them being under their feet at home and makes their life miserable. More than likely they also have adult kids living at home who sponge off them and mommy.

Not excusing them, but if you talk to some 50-something gents this is what you usually hear. Many in my neighborhood in Nagoya anyway.

He took himself off the street to get arrested. I wish all DUI drivers would do that!
