Man robs Shimane post office of Y600,000

TOKYO —

Police said Thursday they are searching for a man who stole 600,000 yen from a post office in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture.

The man used a weapon resembling a cardboard cutting knife to take a female customer hostage before demanding cash from the registers on Wednesday morning, according to a report on NTV.

Police say no one was injured in the incident, and called for the public’s help in finding the culprit, who is still at large.

The man was described as being in his late 40s, dressed all in white and wearing a hat, NTV reported. He fled the scene in a white sedan.

did he have a beard, shadow, mustach, nothing? height, build, smell (he held a woman hostage with a box cutter had to be close). mask, long hair, short hair, shades, what kind of hat? any markings on the white suit, what type of suit, jogging, painting? missing a lot of simple details. No video cam in the PO?

There are only 3-4 routes out of that town and there is a massive police station 5 minutes away-why wasn't this guy caught ?

Dressed in all white. I guess he just started a new life of crime recently because he forgot to read the bad guy/criminal manual. Page 12 Paragraph 3: Criminals are to be dressed in all black attire, while the good guys wear white. (even during day time criminal activities).
