Nigelboy; If you cannot se the difference foreigners are treated compared to Japanese, then you need to open your eyes.

Check aleeged crimes by US military against those by SDF. Which one is constantly shown on tv and demonstarted against?

These guys are subject to much more scrutiny than their Japanese counterparts. So much racism in Japan, it makes me sick when non Japanese, stick up for this prejudice.

About: being stupid enough to continue smoking pot after the first guy was busted.

THC stays in the system long after it has been smoked. Up to 1 month I believe. So I would have to say they could have stopped smoking immediately but still had the THC streaming through their systems when they were "tested".

how much more this non-issue is going to be bloated? I am friggin sick of it.

I am tellin Japan needs some serious crimes to get the useless omawari san to do do some actual police work.

The wrestlers should sue the crap out of their stable for forcing them to conduct tests and for releasing the info without their approval.

    DeepAir65,

According to the guy who tested it, the test kit used will indicate positive if consumed within the body 3 days or less.

The so-called "official" test that they are talking about also will include the concentration level.

    Three-day weekends rule!

It’s fat soluble and decreases in a half-life manner, so the question is not how long it says (bascially, indefinitely), but how long it stays at a detectable level. This in turn would also depend on how much one smokes.

I remember reading an article about drugs being detected in hair and they could determine what drugs had been used for the time it took for that hair to be grown. Most Sumos have long hair.

The Australian police have recently introduced random drug testing for drivers by use of a mouth swab. Testing urine samples seems a little insecure as the samples can be tampered with or the results fiddled with. As these are foreigners it would not surprise me in the least if these findings have been fabricated to defame the foreigners.

Yeah foreigners are never wrong. Just ask any JT poster. It's always a conspiracy by the locals to get us out of here.

The so called 'test kit' carried by all narcs is for testing the substance itself, nothing else. The alleged offender is shown something like a litmus test whereby the dope is dunked into it and if narcotic, it changes color and the cuffs go on... and you can kiss the next five years goodbye.

  • nutsagain at 05:28 PM JST - 3rd September

'carried by all J narcs' 'and you can kiss the next five years goodbye unless your a Japanese then it'll probably be two or at the max 3 years'.

I for one am going to roll a fatty for the fatties. Brothers, yer done. Stupid law. Yer only chance is to go out as martyrs. Stand up for your pot use. Be proud of it. Start to talk of the health benefits vis-a-vis alcohol and cigarettes. The only shame is that Japanese mindsets are so stiffly pro-american circa 1946. Open yer eyes Japan, weed is NOT bad.

  • romulus3 at 08:58 PM JST - 3rd September

why would fat guys in eastern block countries wana be sumo wrestlers anyway? I can understand the mongols. Not much else out there for them, but Europeans? clearly the strict world or sumo should not appeal to westerners, especially dope smoking westerners. no wonder they mostly suck. dope is a shocker. your body sends it to your fat as it is a poison and it tries to keep it from the liver. so next time you start burning fat, back comes the drug. THC overload in the ring. pathetic morons. In saying that, they should test all of the athletes. not just the usual suspects. god knows what they would find in chiyotaikais blood.

Good for Sumo fans. Keep Sumo classic and clean; don't let Sumo be another garbaje like America's WWE the capital of steroids uses in the world.

  • bushlover at 01:08 PM JST - 4th September

You tell em Ringo. Health benefits of smoke and THC!! At least Beer is classed as a food. Sometimes you pro-dope use people will try anything to justify your own personal desires.
