Mother arrested for selling porn images of 4-year-old daughter

MIYAGI —

Police in Iwanuma, Miyagi Prefecture, on Wednesday arrested a 27-year-old woman from Sapporo for allegedly shooting pornographic images of her daughter and distributing them from her PC. The woman has been charged under child prostitution and anti-pornography laws, police said.

According to police, the woman took six photos of her naked four-year-old daughter with a cell phone camera at her home in Sapporo and sold them to a 41-year-old-businessman in Setagaya, Tokyo in mid-September. The woman told police she received around 32,000 yen in exchange for the images.

What kind of sick mind can take pictures of their daughter for illicit purposes, THEN sell them as porn??

What kind of pervert thinks a 4-year-old girl is an object of sexual desire??

    Unbelievable!

is this kind of excrement ever going to stop? if children are not being killed, they're being exploited...by their mothers, no less! ah man

So what is the punishment for the 41-year old sick pervert who bought the pictures? I'll bet NOTHING! Japan will NEVER get serious on this issue until it makes possesion a criminal offense (with actual criminal penalties!)

This is really sick! Maybe this woman, I guess also had messed up parents, maybe her family also did the same to her up there in Hokkaido, and she thought it was just business as usual?? I do not know, but these horrible people should not be allowed to breed! I feel so sorry for this poor little 4 year old girl, and I hope this scum bag hentai dork from Setagaya ward Tokyo could get the death penalty Iranian or Saudi style.

didn't the same thing happen before, about 6 months ago. nothing reported about this woman's circumstances, but we can all speculate she is a single mother and hard-up. I wonder what this sick woman will get as punishment. Just sick and wrong.

    @yourock

Reading this article disgusted me seeing that a mother of such a young little girl would do this. But as you stated maybe she was between a rock and a hard place, hard-up for money. If you are that hard-up for money don't sell your children go into the oldest profession.

One more thing to add, which I feel is a very important question to ask; Where was the father as this was taking place?

  • 0

    whiskeysour

Ok !!! 12 years in jail and sign a contract to never have children again. Also mandatory neutering of this woman or birth control injection that will last 50 years ! !

There was a case this week in Tasmania where a couple prostituted out their 12 year old daughter to 100 men.Because the judge didn't want to further traumatise the girl with a court trial he decided to let the pedophiles get off scot-free.I wonder if this is a single mother.I hope she gets the karma she deserves.

I hope the kid is put in a good foster home before the mom can prostitute her for real.

Never mind the karma - this woman deserves major jail time, to show her how much of a stinking repulsive human being she is.

Little kids run around naked a lot anyway. I doubt the kid experienced any horrible trauma. Some of you make it sound like the mom sold the kid for sex.

Too much focus on the mom, who was probably needing some cash, and not enough focus on the guy who actually got off on the pictures. I'm not saying what the mom did was right, but she doesn't deserve the bulk of the wrath here.

It's like I was saying to someone the other day ... how Japan spends so much money to send aid to other countries but then the people here who are poor suffer.

I don´t get quite the concept of "pornographic" pictures here. Is this just a 4-year old running around the house naked, or something different?

  • 0

Sick and dangerous by Western standards but just another mere peccadillo here where morality is subjective at best.

You are not only wrong but you are inciting hate. What Japanese parent of small children would agree with your comment?

  • 0

    Debucho

If an adult is purchasing pictures of a someone else's 4-year old daughter, you can reasonably assume it is not for innocent purposes. This mom knew that.

They both should be punished but the mom should be punished more. She is supposed to protect her children from loonies like this man. Instead she was one step away from prostituting her child.

If she sent pic of herself, then there is no problem. The little girl probably had no idea what was happening. Very sad. This woman should burn in hell.

    bsosaka

Maybe instead of blaming the mother and businessman people could think a bit more of the social problems that have cause this. The mother probably needed money and the child was not actually harmed in any way. Plenty of parents have pictures of their children naked. The businessman is just a product of a society that considers sex as nothing more than a monetary transaction.

Catching them and putting them in prison will not stop it happening again.

I heard of child pronography. But people indulge a 4 years old child in this. I am shocked, what kinda people are they, lower then animals, there is no humanity no dignity. Really a sick sick people.

    bonword

The scary part is how did the mother and the sicko get connected? The sources of communication need to be found and shut down (after monitoring and arresting all these sick people of course)

  • 0

    smithinjapan

Well, there's certainly no questioning that THIS is kiddy-porn, for those out there who feel the need to go into semantics when prosecution of people with kiddy-porn comes into play. Lock the woman up and take the child away... and never give her back to the woman.

I don't see the problem as far as the mother's morality. The daughter will not be recognizable from the photos in a year or two. As someone mentioned, the person to get angry at his the man who shoots his wad looking at this. Even at that, who is harmed?

This lacyunderalls sounds like he or she need some lessons on MORALITY! It is EVIL to take pictures of your kids NAKED and sell them to perverts who shoot his wad for this!! EVIL! If you do not understand the meaning of evil, you will end up in jail one day and will have more than plenty of time to understand what is evil and what is good.

It makes no sense at all for a male human to be sexually attracted to a female that hasn't entered puberty yet.

  • 0

    WilliB

Is there some cross-communication here? We have plenty of naked photos of our kids. I thought everybody had. You people dress your kids from top to botton 24/7 in your own house?! It never crossed mind that people would call photos of naked 4-year olds running around the house "pornography". Wth?

Or did she do something weird with the kid? The article doesn´t say. If these are just normal photos of kid in the bathtub etc. what in the world is all this screaming about?

  • 0

    elbudamexicano

Dear WilliB, I do not think we have to be so explicit as to making you use your imagination, what would perverts get excited about?? I am not one, so even my imagination fails me, but I am sure that there are enough perverted hentais here in Japan that get sexually excited by the strangest things, and well innocent kids taking a bath for us is ok, but for freaks that pay more than 30,000 Yen?? Come on, something must be really bad for some fool to pay so much money. Regular guys can go to a Soapland here in Japan for less than 30,000 yen so go figure what the scumbag that payed for these child porn pics is going to do with them.

  • 0

    usaexpat

Wow selling pics of your own kid is pretty low. I doubt in the long run the child will be affected by this however. Where the child will be affected is in losing her mother (unfit though she may be). Mom's money making scheme has destroyed her family.

    Budomexikano:

" I do not think we have to be so explicit as to making you use your imagination, what would perverts get excited about?? "

Well yes, please be explicit. If some pervert gets excited about innocent family photos of naked kids, isn´t that his problem? To me it sounds like the Cryton character in "Red Dwarf" falling in love with the vacuum cleaner on the ship. It is bizarre, but would I call it "porn"?

That said, of course I agree that it creepy the mother sold family photos to strangers.

"I don't see the problem as far as the mother's morality. "

First of all, anyone who understood Palante, just chime in and explain it to me please.

But someone should take down Lacyunderall's statement and say something besides "sick is sick". We all know it is sick, but here is why: The mother knew it was wrong, but she did it anyway. No guy wants naked baby pictures for 5000 yen apiece to put on his fireplace. She knew it was illegal and she knew that she was corrupting the purchasers too. And THEY knew they were doing something illegal or they would not have been willing to pay so much. Someone else fill in the rest. I would say that the little girl is a victim because there is the possibility of harm to her and she cannot consent to it. She is endangered.

Just because "your culture" thinks things are acceptable does not make it right. Japan is a major world economy, which is expected to demonstrate leadership in the developing countres, so by running here and there saying: but in other countries; they have the same problems. True leadership is expected to set a positive example across all areas.

  • -1

    RealityTV

There is no real freedom of speech when it comes to addressing the social ills here in Japan. And some of the sickk issues in which JN's use semantics to tap dance or justify thier behaviors is insane; and for those types It is well known that they must stay in Japan, because if they travel to other countries and try to use their J-logic they will soon be in a a world of mess.

    Frungy

The dividing line that was crossed here was that the mother sold these pictures. There is clear evidence of pornographic intent.

Again though there's a double standard here. Look at the level of detail about the mother (and by association the child, the victim here):

in Iwanuma, Miyagi Prefecture, on Wednesday arrested a 27-year-old woman from Sapporo

A total of 5 pieces of identifying information are provided - Age of the woman, age of the child, prefecture, city, woman's area of origin.

Also Iwanuma has a population of only 44 000, and identifying the woman as coming for Sapporo narrows that considerably, plus the age of the child, probably to only a few individuals which makes the woman (and child) fairly easy to identify to casual acquaintances.

    and the client:

    a 41-year-old-businessman in Setagaya, Tokyo

A total of 4 identifying items are provided, the man's age, that he's in business and his city and area.

Setagaya has a population of 826 000 and in Tokyo a man being a businessman is hardly an identifying factor.

What I'm getting at is that there's a clear disparity in the level of identifying information provided, and with it a clear double-standard. The newspaper isn't permitted to publish the woman's name because the child is a minor, but they've all but put a flashing red sign above her, whereas the man hasn't been treated the same way.

It's unfair on the victim and I think that the newspaper has acted irresponsibly and displayed a clear bias in favour of the man and against the victim (the child).
