"Because of Miura’s death, prosecution procedures are expected to be discontinued." Really? Blood out of a turnip?

i agree with GW. LAPD shld have known that Japanese are proned to do things like that...they shld have placed him in special cell and keep close watch...

Um, listen up 'seesaw,' he was being monitored every 30 minutes or less. In fact he was found 10 min. after the last check, so how much more monitoring do you want?

Notwithstanding, he showed no sign that he was planning on doing anything, he was fine in detention the last few months, spoke to lawyers said he looked fine, I thought he was going to fight this all the way especially with a laywer like garagos.

"Regrettable" is his error in entering US airspace to begin with. Tragic is another unnecessary suicide on Japan's already excessive toll, regardless of the reason.

I find it interesting that every Japanese TV network and newspaper have been referring to Miura as "Miura motoshacho" (former company president Miura), instead of the usual "Miura yogisha" (suspect Miura). I guess because he wasn't arrested in Japan, he can't be called "yogisha."

He should wait for his trial first, and if found guilty than he should hang himself instead US fry him. However, he could get life. Now prosecutor is missing out on his promotion. 'SURE MUM IN YOUR EYES HE IS A HERO!'

One reason, of many, that we all find the 'laughing hyenas', the ‘good riddance crew’ abhorrent, this mother and family now get no real closure, never find out if he really did do it or if he was involved and if he was to what extent.

I guess the thought of three squares of "chinpoko" a day for the rest of his life was enough to motivate this weasel to check out early.

Kazumi's Mom may say his death is regrettable to the media but you can believe there is a big smile on her face before she goes to bed at night and first thing in the morning when she opens her eyes. She finally has her closure. The man who orchestrated the cold-blooded murder for profit of her precious daughter is gone.

    End of story.

Really? Now, I'm no legal expert, but, when O.J. was convicted in civil court, he was ordered to pay millions to his victims' families, was he not? Now that Miura will not be convicted, does Kazumi's Mom lose out on a payday? I have no idea what he was worth, but, whatever it was, she lost that, no?

Regretable? This is the fool that has caused the case to be mishandled in Japan.
