**Yes Komuro's productions are tight! He's one of the 1st producers to get his recognition as a producer in Japan. He turned shit around. I have no Hate for the man. I performed on Ryoko Shinohara "Moto Moto" Live on Music Station and on the Promo Video!!! He has made History in the Japanese Market. No Hate for him.... Much respect!!! >

I think that 70's and 80's J-Pop is still the best, look at the huge number of hits back then that were covered in other languages. I am not too sure about the 90's but I am trying to like some of the more recent stuff.

I think the new version will be "can not celebrate"

Komuro is a good musician and son writer, but he should keep out of such dirty business. He should let someone else to do this job for him. You can't be exepert for ever business. Did he wrote any song about how to make more money, or was this issue only a testing?

He was also very good at sleeping with his muses (Hitomi/ Kahala Tomomi etc). One famous story was when he first discovered Kahala and advised her to move to Tokyo because that is where she should be living. When she moved into the apartment that Komuro found for her, all of his belongings had also been moved into the apartment, even though she had no idea that he was going to move in with her. I guess he was so influential at the time that he didn't even need to ask girls that kind of question.

All I can say is that this story gave the breakfast shows the perfect excuse for repeatedly playing the hits of Globe, Namie Amuro etc ad infinitum this morning. Far more air time than they warrant.

I mean it's a big criminal fraud charge he's facing, but there are considerably more important stories going on at the moment. The way the presenters were treating the story, it was more like he had died and they were having a retrospective of the hits he produced

What has happened to Keiko BTW?

Anyway, this is the confirmation that most artists are not good at managing businesses. I think he truely believed he owned the copyrights.

The name registered with the royalties office will confirm that. It's called fraud.

where is the fraud? komuro reached an agreement with the investor. the fraud no longer applies. now it is just breach of contract. actually the investor tried to blackmail komuro for an extra million dollars by using the fraud card but that card has now been used so well done komuro and sucked in investor.

What has happened to Keiko BTW?

And even Mark Panther for that matter. Hope he wasn't in on this. I think he's a great producer, but accountant, not so much. Convenient that he was arrested on the same morning we got our first snow in Sapporo. 8^)

Will Japanese pop now have a change in sound? We can hope.
