Osaka cop caught red-handed stealing women's clothing

An assistant police inspector was arrested after he was caught red-handed stealing women's clothing from a members-only shopping center in Higashinari, Osaka, on Monday morning, Osaka prefectural police said.

According to police, Jiro Oe, 53, was caught taking merchandise from the 6th floor women's department of the store. He was observed putting the items in a shopping bag he had carried in and attempting to leave without paying.

Oe, who was off duty at the time, was found with underwear, gloves and other ladies items worth around 22,500 yen. Oe admitted to the crime, telling police, "I've done shopping here before but this is the first time I've stolen anything."

Pathetic

If he likes womans clothing he just might become the next tv talento.

Cops at their finest!! These are people we should be able to trust!! Jbeezy already summed it up: pathetic.

What is it about Osaka cops and not being able to keep out of trouble? Is it the humidity down there or something?

members-only shopping center

What was the membership? Keystone Gold Member?

His excuse is pathetic too. Sounds like the generic response the Keystones always hear from the ones they catch. "It's the first time I've stole anything".......yeah ,whatever.

Yes, the Keystones are back! The amount of crime committed by cops in this country kind of surprises me. And you don't hear about crimes that might be typically associated with cops, like excessive force or things like that. It's always stealing underwear or taking upskirt shots or something.

Book him Danno!! (thhhump)...no Danno don't use that book. That's the Victoria secret catalog. He'll like that one too much. Here use this telephone directory. (THHHHHUMP).

Cops and stress - - Its a big problem in EVERY police force. In face of all the evidence that counselling - especially group debriefing after critical incidences - is one o the most effective to healthy recalibrating , Police Departments are reluctant to provide that assistance to their corps. TOO BAD !!!

Yep, if they aren't out stealing woman's underwear, there back at the police box emptying the contents of their service pistol into their heads. Where will it all end.

Panti wo Jiro Jiro mite, Oe

Sorry I could not resist :-)

Maybe he was just a tad embarrassed to pay for them?

Well, I guess he should change his name and try to move somewhere where he is not known. Probably this guy will get far more punishment (lose his job, become a laughingstock and/or get shunned by ex-workmates, neighbors and family) than he actually deserves.

Judge, take it easy on him. A day of community service should be enough.

J-Cop is a term that suits them! A typical J-Cop spends many hours doing desk work trying to look busy, avoids real work, sometimes goes hunting with his buddies by setting traps for drivers, and ends his day by doing some nasty job, like the one we see at this report, to satisfy his empty ego! Go J-Cop, go!

Events like this and many more like them within the J-flops helps one understand why there was so much objection to filming interrogations. I can just imagine a senior-constable bursting through the door in a nice frilly pink number asking me why I did it.

Seems like there are a lot of kinky cops and military in Japan.

How many men here are not shy when buying female underwear for the missus? I am. Same with the cop, he mightve been wanting to buy one for his wife but was too shy? Not that it justifies the act. And since its a J-cop it usually get thrown into the perv corner. but still, a small chance he did it out of shyness.... dont know what point I want to make heh

pillars of virtue and decency are these jcops....

I hope what he stole is worn by him when he has his day in court.

I see my calls for a 'Police as Criminals' thread is growing, albeit there's been slightly less fuel for it of late. Thank you, Jiro, for bringing back the need.

Seriously, though.... cops stealing women's underwear, Japanese being shot in the Philippines, 15 year olds stabbing each other, and women killing/maiming children have become so commonplace that I honestly can't tell whether I'm reading today's news or whether I forgot to close a window on my computer from the day before.

the dude was a female crossdresser... i don't think Japanese dudes by underwear for their missus.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

We have grown men on here that are SHY to buy panties? lol WOW!

OK, now I know what to say when I get a parking ticket. "But officer, I have never illegally parked here before in my life!"

Perhaps they should implement the "Don't ask, don't tell & don't get caught!!!" policy for cops and jiedai here.

I would love to know how many Japanese police are arrested every year stealing women's panties!!! It seems every week a police officer is arrested.

Just goes to prove the old adage: you just can't tell who the enemy is. Keep an eye on your undies coz the guy next to you just might be a cop.

"a day of community service should be enough"

For a cop who steals? I believe much harsher punishment is in order. Cops are supposed to set the example for the rest of us.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

First time he has stolen something? Yeah, right!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

LOL at "the first time".

Whatever this cop's "personal interests" are, doesn't bother me at all, whether he's a cross-dresser, or just a pervert... but like Sarge said, cops shouldn't be stealing anything from anyone.

Out of curiosity, you know this how? ...and you're posting comments on a thread at 11:23AM why? I hope you weren't at work!

Japan should "roll the tape" a lot more. This stuff would stop cold if humiliation got turned up about three notches.

SmithinJapan needs to think big. After putting on the full court press for a special police crime blotter section on JT, finding someone who would produce a COPS like show and then syndicate it could make a mint. And hey. Crime is where you find it. Do shows on tachiyomi, cute little kids shoplifting, etc. Anyway, the panty policemen problem would stop cold. And there are surveillance cameras everywhere. Might as well use them. You don't even have to accuse anyone. You probably don't even need narration. Just run the footage and do some John Madden circles and arrows. Interview eyewitnesses. They can't be sued just for telling people what they saw. If you gave the policeman 10 man to tell his story, who thinks he would not take it? That is a lot of panties, after all.

After you make 100 shows, you are set for life on royalties and overseas syndication.

Draw up the business plan Smith, and I am in.

Im in too!

I think it should be played in fast-forward with the Benny Hill sound track.

This reminds me of the dialog of Jakie Chan in the movie, "Shinjuku Incident" where he said, "The Japanese don't know what is stealing".

Ok, so this oyaji J cop is a hentai, should we be surprised??

LMAO. Post of the year! Was just thinking the same thing. I've seen posters complain about how JT "recycles" stories. When in reality, they just keep happening over and over again. These criminals need to think of a new crime to commit.
