maybe you dont but I sure as hell do! They are helping themselves to public assets, I guess you wudnt have a problem employees of the transport ministry getting the occasional free tank of gas at our expense or the finance ministry handing out wads of Y2000 notes to staff since they have so many kicking around!
The person who ok`d the meat give away needs to be fired as the citizens assets are just that the citizens.

Not just fired, prosecuted. 'Tain't gonna happen though, the ojisans whose job it is to prosecute have probably been slipped a couple of boxes of blubber.

Murdering whales is atrocious and barbaric, and then stealing the meat from the company is just more criminal behaviour. Thugs of the Ocean, Join the rest of the world in the 21st Century and stop whaling!

Since when has Japan cared what the rest of the world thought about them when it comes to whaling. If anything it will probable increase the resolve of the us versus them mindset that Japan seems to have abopted.
Or just come with some reason to "cull" them like Kanagroos, dingoes, seals, wolves, bears, deers and so on, like the rest of the world in the 21st century.
Nothing like being unethical in the name ethics.

lol. This is great. Love seeing Greenpeace losers prosecuted, though of course they'll probably get away with just paying a small fine. Still, is good to see. I'm hoping Seino manages to get them, and Greenpeace to pay for their crime.
Regarding whaling. Hell, as long as the species aren't being made extinct, they're no different then any other type of fish or animal. Cull em as you like.

The verdict on this isn't out yet, my friend. The real losers are not Greenpeace, but the whales and the taxpayers.

how is it atrocious and barbaric? free willy?
also: whale is delicious. i recommend eating as much as you can while you can in japan!
hunterrunningdoe at 03:15 AM JST - 25th June
Greenpeace, was a good idea when it started but now it's just a freak show who go around making trouble. it sad that so many noble idea's end up like this...

VoXman at 05:55 AM JST - 25th June
Only in Japan could on be accused of stealing property that in itself is stolen and illegal to possess. Like to see this one play out in court. So how did you comeby the whale meat that was stolen from your office. It was a gift? oh yea that and the rest of the 22 kilos of scientific research your brought home. Oh so is it usual for you to sell gifts given to you and your family? And what is the going rate for these gifts.....

And I guess selling a HIFI, TV etc that fell of the back of a truck is legal in the rest of the world.
You guys need to get real with your arguments.

In Spanish, there is a saying: "Ladrón que roba a ladrón tiene cien años de perdón." (Translation: "A thief who steals from thieves earns pardon for a hundred years.")

in english, there is a saying: 'two wrongs don't make a right.'
eat more whale!
bushlover at 04:45 PM JST - 26th June
So with GP's logic, if they threaten a vessel at sea they can be blown out of the water by the whalers. Cool!!! Go and Rest in GreenPeace!!
I think anyone risking themselves for the catch should be able to take a part of it as reward. Whale meat is sold in some shops. But not as much as Beef and Pork and Chicken!! Oh cr@p !! save the chickens!!

TJrandom thoughts tend to be random. Come now man. Even police can't break and enter to get evidence. So if you break into someone's car to get that bag of cocaine to prove they are selling drugs actually proves what? That you are a criminal yourself mate!!
