CHIBA —
A police officer who was arrested for stealing underwear belonging to a female police officer at a police academy in Togane City, Chiba Prefecture, resigned on Wednesday. His supervisor was also disciplined, according to police officials.
Ryosuke Takazato, 33, who was an instructor at the academy, was arrested on Aug 8 for allegedly stealing the underwear of a 24-year-old female cadet after sneaking into a dormitory with a key he had stolen from the office on July 29.
Takazato was initially suspended for six months but decided to quit on Wednesday. Prosecutors have decided not to press charges.

Wow so this guy is suppose to show recurits how it's done and he gets caught?...well of course he should quit if he can't do it right.
Also..His supervisor was also disciplined..for what? because his employee can't steal underwear correctly?

I don't get this underwear fetish at all, but if that's what the guy is up to I'm glad he's not a cop any more!

I hope he receives the help he needs. You would think this might have showed up while he was still in training or even testing, if they test for any fetishes.

This might sound like a trivial matter, after all they're just underwear, right? But if you read a few true-crime stories you'll be surprised at how many serial rapists and killers started out as "petty" criminals caught for stealing panties, masturbating in public or peeping in windows. The problem is that the need to increase the thrill they get from doing those things escalates until they become very dangerous. Very often though they've been let off with nothing but a slap on the wrist for those "minor" crimes because the police arresting don't see the inherant danger in those types of crimes, believe them to be nothing serious and don't understand the psychology of sexual / fetish criminals. As funny as it may be to have a good laugh about it on an anonimous website, it is an issue that ought to be taken more seriously by the people in a position to prevent it.
"Other serial murderers have started their horrible carreers, for instance, and simplified, quite early in their lives as stalkers - also known as "Peeping Toms", escalating into burglary, fetish theft, rape, and eventually murder. By the time the first serious crimes occur, they are generally in their early to mid-twenties."

kimigano: It's just a juvenile prank. Time to lighten up.
I hope you're joking. The man in question is 33 years old, far beyond the age of a juvenile and what he did is a crime not a prank. Perhaps you misunderstand the difference between the two concepts.

Right On ambrosia - this boy is sick and what he did was a crime not a prank...he was an instructor, he's suppose to be setting an example for the people under his instruction (and boy what an example he set...hehehe).
kavikahi at 02:29 PM JST - 30th August

kavikahi at 02:36 PM JST - 30th August

kavikahi at 02:38 PM JST - 30th August
ok guys, every one drop your pants.
bushlover at 09:36 AM JST - 1st September
I can see his class: Ok you passed you caught me stealing the panties... but how'd you know what crime I was going to test you with? Class: We saw you eyeing up recruit Sato over there so reckoned you'd be into her knickers... and not in the usual way. Anyway it's what we'd do too if we were going to commit crimes. That's why we are becoming cops.
ColAmerica at 09:39 AM JST - 1st September
This police officer should be locked up with hard labor, dirty pervert!!!

bushlover -
Sorry I can't 'straighten you out' as I don't know any more about this incident than you do.
Can't imagine what this man was thinking, but he's obviously not fit to be in a position of authority, or to be giving instruction to young people. Chiba Police Force is well rid of him.

Police are missing two charges: 1) theft of colleague's personal property at academy 2) theft of office key What is the female who's stuff was taken going to think? She'd be better off having her own gang to rough up the perpetrator? Add abuse of position to boot. The trainees are getting the message they will be let off easy if they commit a crime and it's against a female. Hey, the whole academy's executives and trainers need a refresher course in: it's the 21st century and idiocy/theft/sexual harassment are not allowed in the police academy.
