As I sit in the private high school I work in and look around the teacher's room at the teachers who have trouble writing their own names my mind wonders into verses of mirth and speculation over how many of these mullets paid their way into their positions.
suprising Nihon is suppose to be ideal country an example to be emmulated by the other countries in Asia. Corruption in administration is unheard in Nihon. Is nihon going back to square one in administration.
This is why I don't approve of teaching appointments by education bards - they don't give a crap about the individual schools (hey, they don't have to work there themselves) and are out of touch with what the individual schools really need. So much better when a Board of Trustees appoints staff, with the assistance of senior principals from other schools. More ppl involved - too many to bribe and people who actually have the school's interests at heart.

Must be quite a financial raise to want to bribe for such a position.

The salaries are not spectacularly higher but there is a great deal of power and comfort to be gained by such promotions.
What has happened in Oita is no doubt the tip of a very big ice burg. The teacher's world in this country is dirty.
