Police seek motive after man stabs wife, daughter to death

YAMANASHI —

A 64-year-old man from Showa in Yamanashi Prefecture has been arrested for the murder of his wife and daughter.

According to police, Kazuhide Yamasaka made an emergency call at around 10 a.m. on Sunday, reporting the two deaths. Police arrived at his home to find the bodies of his 51-year-old wife and 24-year-old daughter, Fuji TV reported. According to the coroner, the pair had been stabbed to death with a knife several hours earlier.

During police questioning, Yamasaka was quoted as saying he stabbed them, although investigators say his motive is currently unclear.

There have been so many "posts" about "deadly summers" in Japan but I believe there's NO "special season" here... ! Hardly a day goes by unless someone has killed a member(s) of his/her family... Pity "mental illness" is not better treated here.

Elder Japanese must feel the nation is no longer civil.

Got tired of a parasite single 24 year old daughter and parasite wife taking his money perhaps?

That's pretty harsh on two victims you know nothing about, isn't it?

It is almost Everyday, that I see a post on murder or killing, so far at least three times per week there will be a post of a murder in a family... Or Lover kill girlfriend or husband kill his wife...

Why isn't something done about it?

What are the reasons people choose to kill their love one? Why don't they just leave them..?

What happened to Educating the nation on how to communicate with eachother and people in general... and how to vent some of the inner anger, talk about things before they get to these stages where they kill...

It doesn't make outsider feel at ease when wanting to go to Japan...in fact it is scary !!

Here's a possible motive: Your society is so screwed up and culture so oppressive, that death seems like a better alternative to the crappy existence if you are a Japanese citizen.

    FightingViking,

The use of quotation marks around a word serves two purposes. 1. to indicate that you're actually quoting something, and 2. to indicate irony or sarcasm. Perhaps one of the four occasion where you used quotations above meet these conditions.

If you want to emphasize a word -- which is what I think you're trying to do -- you'd be better off using reddit markup formatting to make your words stand out like this or this or this.
