Does anyone think they still have those 150 officers suppossedly assigned to this case? If you do, you define the term naive. Nothing will happen on this case till the Hawker's come back again to plead for some action. And, even then all they'll get is a few officers handing out flyers at Shinjuku station -- for the press to photograph and dutifully report. Sad state of affairs. My sympathies to the Hawkers. Their daughter deserved better.

I can't imagine the misery and frustration the Hawker family is going through. The way the police handled (and are handling) this case is a disgrace. Why aren't they focusing more the Ichihashi family? Surely they have had some kind of contact with their son.

And while the cops bother to stop me on my bicycle last week, this murdering scum is still at large. The reward money should be given a boost by every cop's salary of at least 10% a month until they find this piece of scum and tie him to a beam!

Sad to hear this. I dont think that they are ever going to find him. Not only him but the other killers that have gone free because lack of evidence. Japan is not too big but I dont think that they have the mind of a CSI to to clean up a scene. WHy cant they find him. Why cant they find the killer who stabbed that college student in Kyoto. Or that young girl in southern Kyoto. I give my money if it was a sure thing to find him.
