Police in Osaka have decided to search the head office of Mikasa Foods and dozens of other locations, possibly on Wednesday
Everybody enjoy the national holiday today. And by that I mean get some sleep. Big day tomorrow. Maybe. Ready for the big raid? Let's walk firmly but calmly once all the cameras are ready, not to mention the green tea in the reception room. Let's bust this place. Sure the workers have already ben laid off, but they are so finished tomorrow!
sarcasm was giving us more details about the upcoming raid. As we all make jokes about shredders and announced raids, Sarcasm has offered us something Japantoday/Kyodo can't: more information. Whether you can read it or not is irrelevant - it's been translated for you.
Hey sarcasm123, I'd like to know how someone grabs a headline willy-nilly from a Japanese source and throws it into the mix hoping to prove...what exactly? That pre-announced raids are in fact a great idea? Wouldn't want to disrupt the harmony at the office in the morning. And right now those at head office are just about finished eliminating another piece of evidence. They'll go down, but the police will never get the full story.
So wait a second, let me get my head around this...sarcasm123 comes in like he's got something of value to say, and says that the police are raiding the head office again tomorrow, because he saw a も in a headline?
Yes chibaman, I'm afraid you're right. Perhaps it would be better for sarcasm123 to abstain in the future from hastily jumping into threads touting his supposed linguistic ability and attempting to defend the J-police and their insane don't-rock-the-boat-cos-we-really-don't-want-to-know method of raiding premises. In some countries, the police motto is "to serve". In Japan, it is "to not disturb".
Hey sarcasm123, just in reference to your post which for some reason said the police will raid the head office again (let's not get in to the fact that raids are most effective when unexpected i.e. once), are you aware that the particle も is often used for emphasis, in addition to cases like "as well"? I can help you.

The Japanese news on the other hand reads: "「三笠フーズ」、24日にも捜索へ…食品衛生法違反容疑など"
Or, "The police will raid AGAIN on the 24th."

Hey sarcasm I can't read that. You're such a big man. Take it to a Japanese thread where you can lap it up.

Definitely a case of premeditated murder by slow poisoning following that case of skimming pensions.

Do you have a link for that? Cheers.

My god that's brilliant. And here's some of it from the Yomiuri.
What part of this says the coppers are searching the head office AGAIN?

Hello? sarcasm123? Please don't tell me you came rushing to this thread with a single particle (も).

Wow, what happened here! Six posts in a row for somebody who clearly did not notice the "も" immediately, and had too much pride to admit his error! :P

"tainted rice"
This problem could be solved with the imports of cheap, delicious and safe California rice.
sarcasm123 / chibaman - OK, you two pixies knock it off! Ha ha ha!
