Postal worker assaults woman after threatening her with knife in Kanagawa
KANAGAWA —
A man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of indecent assault after he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife and touched her breasts and upper body in early October 2007. Hiroshi Fujinuma, 35, manager of the Tsurumi branch of a postal services business, has admitted to assaulting the woman on the stairwell of her apartment building in Yokohama City.
There have been numerous other similar cases in Yokohama City in the past couple of years, and police are investigating if Fujinuma was involved in any of them.

October 2007? What's the statute of limitations for groping in Japan?

He shouldn't be working as postal worker but instead he should be slicing meat in butchers shop. At least he admitted his crime, and perhaps he will walk with suspended sentence, unless all other similar crimes were committed by him.

Over a year in the investigation stage to figure he was guilty of assault? Good job J-cops!

early 2007? I figure he held out as long as he could but finally collapsed under interrogation and now will be pinned with additional charges he knows nothing about. In the meantime he lost everything. Job, wife, kids, family...he gave up. Looks like rotten justice as far as the eye can see.

Actually, think it looks like Justice to me. Considering his crime, he deserved to lose all the things he did. Anyone else who does similar things should as well. I have no sympathy at all for scumbags like this.
