Postman arrested for ditching mail in Wakayama
WAKAYAMA —
A postman was arrested on Monday on suspicion of failing to deliver 101 postcards and letters and thus violating the Postal Law.
Takeshi Kiro, 22, a resident of the town of Koya, is suspected of leaving the mail at an unoccupied house in Koya between late January and early February this year. The mail was found behind an empty box underneath the eaves of the roof. The mail was not damaged and will be delivered to its recipients.
Kiro has resigned from his job, and police are investigating if he was involved in the more than 100 different mail items that were also found nearby.

Nice ethics! Neither sleet nor snow nor mail will stop me getting home before 5pm.

A postman? perhaps a part-timer with unpaid over-time. JP should clarify.

JP please we need more specific information. It doesn't make sense. 101 postal items were discovered. Did he open them at all or was just collecting them to build up enough for writing a book or read them after he will retire. What was his reason to be such kinky postal thief?

I did the same thing when I was 7 years old. dumped 300 local gazettes behind a bush because it was snowing and I had slid off my bike twice on ice. I had blood poring out of both knees and a bruised, grated elbow and I was very sick plus my front wheel was buckled after the first slide into a fence. I felt guilty later and confessed. Got away with a warning and never failed to deliver again.
wonder what this guys excuse was?

OK. If you dump all postal items, it means you have more time to spent at the Pachinko.

I feel for these guys. Even though I curse them in the mornings when sorties of them almost run me down on their motorbikes going at break-neck speed to meet delivery times, Im sure the pay isnt great and they have to put up with crap. I feel for this kid.
