Yeah, blame it on the foreigners.

  • ptolemy at 10:14 AM JST - 9th November

Ouch! Ratted out by the girlfriend. Even more amazing is that he admitted to the charges without any evidence except for the girlfriend's accusation. Makes me wonder if the 5-0 did some "extra" interrogation tactics on him -- wink, wink.

Nibachan, you make the point that paramilitaries and violent societis are somehow connected to cannabis? You need to go to Canada or Amsterdam, my friend and learn something of what you're talking about.

Can't believe she's the same girl as her ... uh ... movie publicity.

  • CavemanLawyer at 12:51 PM JST - 9th November

J girls are not very butch. When faced with the police, they will talk. They also pay their NHK bills.

Some of you act like this is a big surprise. I guess if you were to admit to yourselves that J-girls are little weak in some areas, it would reveal the real reasons why one actually slept with you.

Lighten up on the girl. Fact is she should never have had to face the coppers. Somebody ratted her out. The rest is highly predictable. If you want a "tough as nails" girlfriend, don't pick a Japanese one. Its no mystery.

If he doesn't take cannabis or other drugs he will never become number one. Drugs are 'Tower of Power.'0.7 grams of cannabis is not big deal. I think cops should concentrate to get 'BIG FISH.'

Sounds like a perfect start.... Porn star girlfriend, smoke some weed, do the thing, you know.

    Then it all goes downhill.

    A lot of grayness though.

First, How did police find out that Arisa Kikuchi had weed at her home? did they have warrant or was it one of those hi, may i come and search your private things?

If you have such a small amount of weed, can't you just destroy it (flush down the toilet) before you open door to police?

Finally, why the hell do they admit to that stuff? Say stuff like "it aint mine", "i don't know what this is", etc.

Why are the Japanese such ...cats....?

  • MeanRingo at 08:32 AM JST - 10th November

...cats... that's a classic. And true. Miyao probably thought he was in heaven dating a sex kitten. He was blinded. He never figured a porn star would have such loose lips. Not too smart.

Never heard of this Miyao fellow before...

  • frontandcentre at 02:45 PM JST - 10th November

I cannot believe what a life-wrecking big deal they make about such an insignificant quantity of a drug which is scarcely more harmful than smoking tobacco or drinking, one or both of which such a high percentage of "respectable" salarymen participate in almost every day of the week, usually to excess. Most countries are hypocritical about drugs, but Japan seem to be more so than most.

And I also love the way everyone becomes "-yougisha" after their arrest. "The suspect Miyao", makes it sound like he's next up for the gallows and eternal public disdain, rather than for the minor slap on the wrist that his foolish actions justify.

When I saw his picture on TV I asked my Japanese friend what he'd done - "Murdered that woman or something?" "No - possession of marajuana!" came the shocked reply.

Bet she would do anything for some smoke now.
