Ramen restaurant owner stabbed in Chiba

CHIBA —

The 46-year-old owner of a ramen restaurant in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, was found in the kitchen with stab wounds to his stomach on Wednesday, police said. He was taken to hospital and is listed in a critical condition.

According to police, the victim was found by his sister around 11:10 a.m. when she came to the restaurant to help him. The victim told police that a man who wore black clothes and a hat stabbed him and stole money from the cash register. Police found a knife with bloodstains in the kitchen.
