Rock musician Yuya Uchida held for assaulting girlfriend

Rock musician and actor Yuya Uchida, 71, was arrested for assault and trespassing on Friday after he allegedly threatened his 50-year-old former girlfriend, police said.
According to police, upon hearing that his girlfriend was thinking about ending their relationship in March, Uchida allegedly hit the woman and started sending her threatening letters.
According to the police, Uchida left a letter for the woman on April 2 alleging that he had told her company that she was dating a yakuza.
The woman told police she changed the lock on her front door to keep Uchida out of the house. But Uchida also had another locksmith open the front door of her home and entered it April 19 without informing her.
The woman, whose name is being withheld, first contacted the police for help in March, claiming she was trying to break up with Uchida but that he wouldn’t let her go. The two started dating her around December 2009.

Can we safely assume that it was either Uchida's residence at some point, or that he had at least his name on an owner's or gaurantor's contract? Or that the locksmith personally knew him? (without knowing about the situation w/ the girlfriend), and just leave him out of it?

At age 71, wouldn't "former" rock musician be more accurate? As for the so-called girlfriend, maybe she's more of a caregiver? It does sound like a scary situation, none-the-less.
