Dear fans, my career was not going very well as you had noticed. So I did it all on purpose to get some media attention. I had tried to pretend I was divorcing, but people no longer care. So with my PR team, we staged it all.
Now buy my shashinshu, my adult movies, my biography, the documentary about my problems with justice. Come to see my pole dancing show in my brother's club in Kabuki-cho...
Be thankful. We now know truth. A few of my theories are thrown out! Things are now getting simpler. I am sure that Sakai was one of the very habitual users, probably more than 4 years. At least, she was telling truth. I am wondering if the Japanese media will try to dig much deeper than that, sooner than later. I suspect that all of drugs at the villa in Chiba Prefecture were paid by Sakai, because of the cell phone which she destroyed and discarded. Sakai owned all of amphetamine but she shared some of it with her husband, then he was being charged for possessing it.
Why aren't we getting any information about husband's cell phone? Maybe the cops already investigated on it but did not find anything unique. I think that Sakai took a product which could flush illegal drugs out of her body. Plus, she would probably drink a lot of water to further purify her body before turning herself in to a police department. Sakai did everything to avoid an arrest temporarily so she had more time cleaning up her dirty and toxic body. She was very panic and not wanting to be gravely embarassed by the shocked and appalled public, if a drug test determined that she possessed a higher percentage of drugs in her body than her husband.
If I am reading this correctly, the math is very simple. It takes about ten days after using for a urine sample to come out negative. She went missing for five or six, and I assume the urine sample was taken at the time she turned herself in. That implies she was not under the influence of drugs when she was first asked to submit to a drug test on the day of her husband's arrest. She wasn't found in possession of drugs either. The question is why was she asked to take a test when she wasn't in possession and wasn't under the influence. Is it standard police procedure to demand that spouses of people arrested for drug possession submit to a drug test? If it isn't, then why did that happen in this case?
Anyways, I can see that everybody else is more interested in commenting on the media frenzy and the evils of drug use, but I just don't think this passes the smell test.
This story is nothing but voyeurism and schadenfreude. Get a life. What is this woman being publicly crucified for again- dancing inappropriately at a rave?

Because her husband said they were her drugs. He NARC'd her out. She is also relative to yaks. She choose a "bad boy" husband who was all talk and he spilled the beans, probably so he could make a clean break. She is taking a hard fall on this one and he might be able to get away with less damage.
IchiyaWarFare-Thanks for the answer. But if that was the case, then why wasn't she arrested when she went to the police station on the day of his arrest? (I'm assuming the sequence of events has been reported accurately, ie. she was in fact asked to take a drug test and bolted.)
The question is why did she confess to this after the urine test was negative! My guess is that her lawyer wasn't present at the time of questioning. The justice system in Japan is in serious need of changing! and the fact that all of this time, money, energy and attention is being paid to a women who allegedly possessed a very small amount of drugs is appaling!!!
On another note, I think there are too many generalizations made about drugs and people who take them: 'Illegal drugs are bad and cause crime.' This is a dangerous assumption. It seems to me that as humans we like to categorize things to simplify our morality but in reality things are not so black and white. Prohibition of substances and lack of education about drugs is the real problem!
This woman has diareaha of the mouth, she keeps digging a deeper hole for herself.
“hoping that the traces of the drugs she had taken would disappear”. What an idiot, I’m not advocating drug use but if I smoked a “doobie” or sucked down a pill of ecstasy , that last thing I’m going to do is tell a clueless J-cop I did it, if I’m ever questioned.
They found nothing in her possession to incriminate her with, other than the flunky gold-digger husband throwing her under the bus saying they shared drugs, she can walk away from this. Jeeeezus, this country’s legal system reads like a Kafka novel
All this talk about throwing the book at her, just so silly. Who did she hurt? Who did she kill? Seriously. The fact the test just 5 days after showed no drugs in her system shows pretty conclusively that she is not a habitual drug user. Talking about the ills of society, and how its responsible for this, and essentially trying to link the minor use of drugs by this woman to all these other crimes, is simply wrong.

They should have just shot her when she ran.

"They should have just shot her when she ran".
Correction, they should have shot at her, they can't hit squat.
She should have done a Britney and shaved her head and other areas. Then walked into the cop shop with clean pee.
Great headlines with out conviction. Who the hell is her lawyer? Oh yea, can't get one of those here until after your convicted.

she only needed 4 more days.. tsk! ZANNEN!!
magpie at 07:29 PM JST - 26th August
I think the J-Press did say that she cut her hair short and dyed her hair (not quite Britney). Drank enough water to flush out drgs from her system.

She didn't go to the police station. She was asked to accompany the police but refused, as is her right, because she was not arrested.
