School teacher arrested for peeping up student's skirt in Oita

Police on Monday arrested a 34-year-old school teacher for peeping up a schoolgirl’s skirt in Tsukumi City, Oita Prefecture.

Ryuichiro Sawada, 34, was arrested on the spot for trying to peep up the 15-year-old girl’s skirt near Tsukumi station around 6:50 a.m. when she was going up the stairs. Police said they have been paroling the area since they received information that a man was looking up schoolgirls’ skirts near the station in the morning.

Sawada denies the allegations, police said.

    What's the big deal with men in Japan liking to peep under skirts? Is there something about the underwear that turns them on? It seems to be a common occurrence and some of those YouTube videos where girls in Akihabara sing , wear short skirts, and kick while guys are on their knees with camera phones and camcorders taking shots at the underpants. She's aware and those kicks prove it especially when she positions herself just for the shot. It's crazy!

    This is the most you will see about this story untill another guy gets caught for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't know from this story if he was just sitting at the bottom of the stairs just looking up or he was just the next guys walking up the stairs like most of do on a daily basis headed to work. I know i look up when i walk, so i am wrong if the school girl is infront of me showing her underwear? No, that's when i step out and up and get ahead, but then again there is another one.....even my wife says its getting out of hand.

    OK, lets say he picked a strategic stop and craned his neck to see panties. That makes him a pervert, but is it criminal? That looks like an awfully slippery slope to me. What about all of us who take a look while going up the elevators as it offers itself? How do they want to define the difference?

    And for good riddance, how many of us live on train lines where they have benches made at least 50 years ago. Low wooden benches. They're about as high up from the ground as a baseball catcher's squating position. And you know how many girls in skirts sit down on those benches every morning from 7-8:30 a.m. You don't have to see one on an escalator, just look out the window as you pass by these benches across the tracks. Where? O.K. Hatanodai on Tokyu Ikegami line for starters.

    If you read the more detailed story at the Daily Yomiuri website it says that police had received an earlier report that someone had been coming to the station to peep up a girl's skirt. Then it says: The 34-year-old teacher allegedly was peering through a gap in a wind panel attached to the hand rail of the stairs...

    I've been guilty of that a few times when I was 14 or 15. In those days the sight of a female knee cap was a real thrill.

    At 34 I only looked up adult girls skirts. Nowadays there's nothing left to the imagination.
