I think they should ask some real hackers about the breach.

I think they should turn the network back on even if user information is not restored or kept inaccessible. Here it is Golden week and I would like to play even if I need to create new logon information. Sony is piling up ill will fast. Seems they about as prepared as TEPCO.

I don't give a hoot for my stats and I would never have given them my CC information even if I had a CC. But none of it is necessary to get us playing again and that is why I bought that black box which is looking more like a boat anchor as we continue on through week two.

Pick up Mass Effect II or Uncharted (1 or 2), neither of them need PSN access and are a good way to kill a good chunk of Golden Week.

In an earlier blog post, the company had said that data had not been encrypted and had been kept in a separate location from the credit card information.

So, Sony might have just encrypted the data after the plain data was hacked to save their face in front of media.

The entire credit card table was encrypted and we have no evidence that credit card data was taken,” the company wrote in its blog post.

Do they expect the hacker be stupid enough to put a footprint after they had stolen the data?

I think it more likely they encrypted the credit card data, but other data stolen was not encrypted.
