A 65-year-old man who was arrested and jailed for causing trouble at a gasoline station in Mitaka, Tokyo, was rearrested after he returned to the same gas station upon his release and threatened the owner, police said Monday.

According to police, Hajime Haruyama was first arrested on Feb 11 after he brandished a lighter at the gasoline station and said he would start a fire, TBS reported. Police said Haruyama was drunk at the time.

After he was released on Feb 24, Haruyama returned to the gasoline station and threatened the owner, telling him, "I was locked up because of you. I'm going to destroy your family."

Haruyama has denied the allegations, and was quoted by police as saying that he just wanted to tell the owner that he had been arrested.

If at first you don't succeed, threaten the guy and get arrested again.

the only type of confrontation in japan ive ever really had is with these old looneys, I just fire back the same amount of flack (with a im going to smash your face in look) that they give. they all STFU really quickly after that. theyre mostly in shock because they never expect this from a younger generation. respect is earned not required as many seniors here seem to think.

Unless their was a reliable witness, or voice recording not mentioned in the article its hard to say what the evidence is other than circumstantial he said this, that etc. need real proof. JT please provide us this kind of information.
