Police in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, said Sunday they are looking for a "suspicious" man who was seen getting into a car near the dorm where a nurse was found murdered on Dec 31.
Police did not reveal any details about the "suspicious" man but have appealed to the public to come forward with any relevant information.
According to police, Sayaka Furomitsu, 23, died of suffocation in the early hours of Dec 31. NTV quoted a police officer as saying a towel was tied tightly around her neck which bore strangulation marks. The body was found on the first floor of the dorm by a colleague at around 6 a.m. The front door has an autolock system, police said.
Police said their investigation revealed that DNA left on the towel did not match the victim's.
A task force has been set up to see if the deceased nurse was being stalked or had any trouble with former patients or their relatives, NTV reported.

I hope they catch the perpetrator quickly. All murders are horrible, but when it's a nurse - a young lady who has dedicated her life to helping the sick - then it's all the more heartbreaking.

"suspicious man" that's a very helpful description! Should not be hard to find someone that fits the profile!

By not releasing description of suspecxt to public, police must be expecting suspect will be careless and show up. I think description is known to cops. Hope he is caught very soon.
