Teacher, wife busted for filming women in toilet 'just for fun'

Police on Sunday arrested a teacher from a Tama Ward elementary school and his wife for violation of the prefectural public nuisance prevention ordinance after the pair were caught filming videos in a women’s toilet.

According to police, Noriyoshi Sano, 44, and his wife Naoko, 42, admit to the charges, and were quoted as saying that they “filmed the videos to have fun as a couple. We’ve been doing it for the past five years.”

The couple was arrested on Sunday night after they were caught with a video camera, filming a Yamato City woman, 43, in the gymnasium toilet in Yokohama’s Hodogaya Ward.

The couple had hidden a tiny camera in the toilet paper roll, and the wife remotely controlled it from the next stall. The woman spotted the camera and caught Mrs Sano, before calling police.

I was once told of a college student in Louisiana who whole-heartedly believed that she would become pregnant by kissing. (A lot of people would love that, but it just doesn't seem to work.)

It occurs to me that perhaps many Japanese haven't yet experienced or figured out how the birds and the bees thing works. Is it possible that they mistake peeing for sex? I mean, even the most woefully inadequate can still manage a toilet.

Another bizarre incident in a deeply bizarre country. Japan seems to get more wierd with each passing day. Public morals and manners have all but disappeared now. What a pair of depraved sickos this couple are, and to think they had connections with education, too. This is the sickest thing I have read this week. I hope they are given psychiatric assessment and also locked away for many years until they come to their senses.

Well that is nothing new, it has been going on since I first came to Japan in 1996. I remeber in Perth Australia a guy got arrested for doing the same thing. Face it people get off on watching girls pee there are HUNDREDS of PORN VIDEOS on the net in regards to the act. Europe and the US call it GOLDEN SHOWERS I think, so you can not say Japan or Japanese are BIZARRE when it also goes on in the west!

I agree that it also goes on in the west, but I think you will probably find that the majority of those cases are where the pee-er is voluntarily "performing", and they are GENERALLY not filmed in secret in a public toilet by a bloody elementary school teacher (and probably parent) and his WIFE!!!

The fetish begins as nothing more than an opportunity I think. Everybody drops their pants when they pee, so that is a chance to get a peek. I think it usually goes from there, with associations made with sex and toilet issues. Yet another fetish sprung directly out of sexual repression for the most part if you ask me.

I agree with others that this was probably more a business venture than self-gratification.

Cynthia, the interrogation techniques used here often consist of days of questioning and basically what amounts to psychological torture, with many forced "confessions" by innocent people later coming to light. While I have no doubt that this particular couple is guilty, I don't think you want America to follow the Japanese system.
