Who the hell thinks setting off fireworks indoors is a good idea? What is an indoor fireworks display?
The court also ordered Boonchu’s company to pay 8.7 million baht ($255,500) in compensation to the victims or their families.
Per person or split 67 ways?

This kind of stupidity is just plain crazy and not just only in Thailand, if I remember correctly some hard rock concert back in New York also had a fireworks display indoors and guess what many people died in that fire too. So RIP people who are victims of these stupid fireworks indoors.

That would be NJ, The Station Club. Great White was the act. 96 dead and 187 hurt.

Okinawamike: It's called pyrotechnics, and done correctly is not that dangerous and can be quite fun. They do it at concerts all the time, indoors and out. You only hear about when they go wrong. "Fireworks display" might be misleading. In any case, it's clear that in this instance they were not done carefully at all. I'm just surprised it's only three years each and not more.
