Thai police arrest Japanese man wanted for child pornography offenses

A Japanese man wanted by a Japanese court on child pornography offenses was arrested at his home in northern Thailand’s Chiang Mai Province on Tuesday, Thai police said. Hirokazu Nishioka, 38, has been wanted by a court in Sendai since December 2007. He allegedly sent child pornography movies, in the form of digital video discs, by post to various cities in Japan between February and June 2007, according to Thai police.

Japanese authorities placed a request for Nishioka’s arrest several months ago with Thail police. Thailand’s Crime Suppression Division is conducting an investigation to determine if Nishioka has committed any wrongdoing in Thailand. Thai police have seized his personal computer. Initial police investigation shows Nishioka has overstayed his visa in Thailand. He is reportedly living with his Thai wife in Chiang Mai’s Hang Dong District.

For once Thai authorities have done some work. Pedo married to a Thai so conveniently and running after those poor children. If the country has made itself popular for sex and the related trade what can you expect? They manage to catch only one?

I think there is no need to have a big mouth about the Thai police. Till they don&t have evidence for child pornography, they use visa overstay, that is it. You guys judge the Thais as if Japanese, European or American police would be much more efficient in catching the pedos.

But the Thai authorities probably wouldn't have done anything to him had the Japanese not made the request. Thailand really needs to get on top of the child prosititution thing that lures sex travellers from all over the world. I think only Cambodia is worse in this respect.

This is just the "tip of the iceberg" not just in Thailand, Japan, Europe etc..there are vary dangerous scum bags out their just waiting to pray on innocent, poor children all over the world. Now Cost Rica seems to be really popular with pedophiles, so just be careful and try to protect your kids from these monstors.
