Thieves grab Y2.35 mil worth of items from Ibaraki jewelry store

Thieves robbed a jewelry store of items worth around 2.35 million yen in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki Prefecture, early Saturday morning.

According to police, thieves broke into the Sun Apio shopping center at around 2 a.m. TBS reported that they smashed through the glass doors of a high-end jewelry store and then stole 21 Swiss watches and 10 platinum necklaces.

Police said they are analyzing in-store surveillance camera footage to try and identify the thieves.
