Three convenience stores robbed in Yokohama

YOKOHAMA —

Three convenience stores were robbed in Yokohama on Monday night and Tuesday morning, police said, adding they believe the same man was responsible. The first robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. Monday in Minami Ward, when a knife-wielding man ordered a worker to empty the register. He fled with 50,000 yen.

The second robbery took place in Naka Ward at 1 a.m. The robber threatened the store worker with a knife and made off with 80,000 yen. At 7:30, the same man is believed to have hit another convenience store back in Minami Ward, getting away with 100,000 yen.

No one was injured in any of the robberies, said police. The robber was described as being in his 30s, and about 165 cm tall. He wore a cap and carried a shoulder bag.

[Mental note: I will only get 100,000 yen or less if I rob a convenience store.]

At least the workers were smart enough to hand over the cash and not risk their lives in defense of 7-11.

You can say all you want about the burglar but he's got this robbin' thing down to a science. No blood, no positive ID and he's hauling the dough in very nice increments I might add.

Actually, considering the penalty for multiple armed robberies, that is a craptacular amount of cash = FAIL. If this was India, not bad but here if you are very frugal, that might last a couple of months (unless he lives with his units).
