Hate no nitpick always, but I've been in Japan far too long to be that naive: "planning" won't restore any trust as long as you decide not to find anything. Even if you truly want to get rid of all the corruption (yes, corruption! You can call it any way you like, it is still corruption, the only thing that is transparent in Japan), it is impossible since you are as toothless as the Japanese environment protection agency with fines even I could pay right now in cash.

Bourse-. A stupid old French word rearly used in English for purse that no one has used since 16th century.

The stock market is a breeding ground for white collar crime, and does not play a productive role in the real economy overall.

Maybe if they implement stricter regulations and oversight some of these firms will simply go bankrupt, and some of the foreign firms that swelled during the housing bubble years will also cease to exist--having no market to go home to on Wall St and London St....

Then maybe the stock market can serve to check the interest of hedge funds and other big money players seeking to control or manipulate the market, making it unable to serve as an alternative to bank financing for companies with good ideas and growth potential that might threaten the vested interests of the bankers.

Wait, isn't that what it was supposed to do in the first place?!

Long overdue and will likely lead to lots more arrests etc. Seems like the age of finance and big swinging dicks is finally coming to an end.

Insider trading is like corrupt politicians, bent policeman, thieving bankers and drunk judges, they are in every place you care to look.
