Are the 'gansters' free to do what they want? Shouldn't they be behind the bars? Y97.5 mil is bloddy dirty money. I wouldn't accept it. But I'll be happy to see them locked up for good. 'THERE'S THE RUB: ACCEPTING BLOODY DIRTY MONEY FROM JAPANESE MAFIA!'

This seems to imply that a contract killing is considered a normal business practice under the Japanese legal system. Since these top "executives" are acknowleding their responsibility "as employers" they are effectively saying they're sorry that innocent people were killed while their employees were commiting a sanctioned murder!

On my planet this ain't right!

  • Youdontknow at 06:43 PM JST - 27th September

Gangster scum! If these bastards killed any of my family members, I wouldn't want their dirty money! No amount could be enough for their evil.

Shame on you Japan for allowing these scum to have a legal right to exist!! Gangs should be outlawed and any business suspected of trading illegally should be seized and disbanded, just like the government does to other, hard working citizen owned businesses.1

    Yakuza you are SCUM!

every police officer in Maebashi should bow his head in shame and then resign

  • ninjohitokiri at 08:24 PM JST - 27th September

This is one thing about Nippon we gaijin will never truly understand. Yakuza and thier precursors are so intertwined with society and the ruling classes that we cant fathom it. Add to that the Japanese perception that "We are different and unique from the rest" way of thinking and you got these sort of things.

ninjohitokiri- No-one calling foreigners g****n, will understand themselves or Japanese. Japan eccepts organised crime, FACT! Japan go on about 2 Russians who smoked pot, big deal! Focus on minor discretions by foreigners, and ignore the cancer of serios crime pervaying society. A truly corrupt and xenaphobic country.

Romulus would take their dirty money and buy some type of vengeance with it.

  • Notginger at 12:21 AM JST - 28th September

But the, brother of Remus, you would have to buy that vengeance from the type of people from whom you were seeking vengeance. An ever decreasing circle of revenge might ensue, until all were dead, a tragedy worthy of Thomas Kyd!

    Notginger,

Romulus would not hire. Just buy the necessary items.

  • rjd_jr at 08:31 AM JST - 28th September

Hey, at least they apologized and paid renumeration, which is a million fold more than what the "gangstahs" in my neck of the woods do when they kill and maim innocent bystanders in their drive by shootings.

  • lipscombe at 01:03 PM JST - 28th September

the problem there being rjr is that if those 'gangstahs' names and addresses were known then maybe at least one police officer might try to do something about them

Backbones...just another manufactured facsimile of the real thing that this society has no real concept of.

    Truly cowardice.

Two top members of a "crime syndicate" agreed Friday to pay

Just take a look at this headline... Something doesn't look the least bit wrong here....? Anyone have any common sense...? What about these two words... "Crime Syndicate?"

    What a fricken country...

They are sanctioning crime... A country of 12 years olds....

  • mindovermatter at 08:54 PM JST - 29th September

    Youdontknow

Yes you are so right.... Every chance I get to harass, intimidate or just plain inflict harm on these pieces of human trash, I never pass up the occasion...
