Two young girls punched by stranger on street in Hyogo

HYOGO —

Police said Sunday they were looking for a man who punched two young girls in separate incidents on Saturday while they were walking along a street in Takasago city, Hyogo Prefecture.

In the first incident, a 6-year-old girl was walking down the street when she was suddenly grabbed by a man and punched twice in the stomach. About two minutes later, 40 meters from the site of the first incident, a man punched a 7-year-old girl three times in the stomach, leaving her with minor injuries. Police believe the same man is responsible for both incidents.

They believe that this is the work of the same man? Wow I wonder whatever gave them that idea?

About two minutes later, 40 meters from the site of the first incident

Hercule Poirot has nothing on the detectives in this case....

I just hope they catch this creep and maybe allow the parents take a few swipes at this nut.

What are the chances this is another unemployed guy with confirmed mental issues roaming free? Just like the one who killed the 5 year old in Chiba.

Really, what's next? Baby punchers? Pregnant ladies?

My British friend was randomly punched in the stomach at 7 months pregnant on the train. On a crowded train with many witnesses and no-one did a thing. She also had a 2 year old with her at the time. Sorry, but however much some people like to deny it these nuts ARE everywhere. (The baby was fine in the end thank god.)

Let that be a message to parents in Japan - don't let your young kids walk home by themselves. The excuse that the "kids learn to experience new things on their own" doesn't hold water when what they experience is a fist rammed into their stomachs (sorry, had to put in a reference to the arnie soundboard).

WTH? Again, may we PLEASE see a re-evaluation of the Japanese laws that prohibit bystanders from intervening when they see a crime in progress? I should hope that SOMEONE would have jumped on this looney tune after he assaulted the first girl, if only they didn't have to worry about being prosecuted!

I can only begin to imagine what kind of pathetic excuse this man must have for his behavior. Let me guess, something like: "There's a woman I work with who's married and has kids, and she wont' go out with me because she thinks it would be bad for her children. I got angry and wanted to beat up kids, so I did. I couldn't resist."

    I'm only being half-facetious, too.

wow this tough guy puts rambo to shame, unarmed 6 and 7 year old girls.

Please let me meet him in a dark ally............PLEASE!!!

Tie him down and let the girls have a kick at his (alledged) manhood.

    heheheheheheh!!!

This goes beyond my comprehension. Weird and random. Strangely, the weird stories we get from Japan news is sorta what draws me to reading these. Other countries... same ol' murders or violence. This place... random!

I could not agree more! I don't know if I'd bother caring about the stupid laws if I witnessed that. I'd take him down and confess Japanese style, "It was a good idea at the time. / It happened before I knew it"

wow this tough guy puts rambo to shame, unarmed 6 and 7 year old girls.

As opposed to those armed 6 and 7 year old girls... watch out for them!

I was not aware of such laws. Can you provide a link explaining them?

I was upset enough about Sukoban wherein a little girl is punched in the stomach by four boys. Then she gets kidnapped and a grown man binds all four extremities. The coward repeatedly punches her in the stomach! I think it's fiction. Does it have to be reality? That real life criminal should be executed publicly by a three hundred pound man who stomps on his stomach! Both girls should use a brick as a stomping aid first! I hope that in the interim he'll pick a fight with someone who can match him!
