Two youths arrested for 'Spider-Man' assaults in Osaka

OSAKA —

Police on Sunday arrested two 17-year-old youths for allegedly assaulting and robbing two people in Sakai City and Osaka in October. The suspects wore Spider-Man masks at the time of the robberies.

The two, who cannot be named because they are minors, were arrested for allegedly assaulting a 62-year-old man with wooden sword and stun gun in Sakai City around 9:30 p.m. on Oct 12. They stole 2,000 yen from him. The suspects also assaulted another 23-year-old college student at 10:55 p.m. in Osaka the same day but didn’t steal any money, according to police. Police found their fingerprints on the wooden sword.

The suspects have admitted to the allegations. Police believe they were involved in six other similar cases reported the same day.

Gloves, they forgot to wear their gloves. Idiots obviously didn't learn anything from the previous encounters with the cops. Here is an example of what happens when kids DON'T watch tv, but sit around talking or text messaging. They've been finger printed before , but without tv to tell them what it meant they were lost. Hopefully they'll learn from this and watch tv and figure out how to stay out of trouble when the become "adults".

They say copying is the best form of flattery...I'm honored.

BTW...I'm the REAL Spider-man. The hyphen proves it.

So for all their efforts, they got 2000 yen. That doesn't even cover the cost of the Spidey masks let along a bokutoh and a stun gun.

Is Spider Man also an evil American influence corrupting the "young and innocent" youth of naive Osaka lads?

They must have had a record.

What's the deal with stun guns here? It's always reported so matter-of-factly. Is this not, like, a huge deal that they're shocking half to death 62 year old men??

This is what you get when watching such movies like 'Spider-Man,' which is an influence on youg people. This is how young generation are learning. A 'Western Style.'

NO no! It's a misunderstanding! Is was tha black spidey! And if the subtitles were working correctly, Spiderman was supposed to "defend" citizens, not rob them! And what is up with the "wooden sword"? OH! I get it! Amazing costumes, not taking money from one victem, leaving fingerprints... they wanted "ATTENTION"!

How was the sword recovered true believers? The crimes were commited almost a month ago. Did the police find a wooden sword, and now just arrest someone?
