Woman held over death of 75-year-old mother
SAITAMA —
A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Monday for allegedly strangling to death her physically impaired 75-year-old mother at their home in Fugino City, Saitama Prefecture, police said Tuesday.
According to police, the suspect—identified as Sachiko Oshima—killed her mother Kayoko Kanzaki with some type of electrical cord in her bedroom. Oshima is the second daughter of Kanzaki. Police said she has admitted to the charge and quoted her as saying, “Due to my mother’s physical condition, I just couldn’t see any hope for her future.”
Oshima, who works part time, told her husband what she had done when he arrived home from work on Monday night, and he called police.

Few people kill out of concern for the soon to be dead. This woman was angry because she had to take care of her mother, so she killed her. She couldn't face another ten or twenty years of changing diapers and listening to mom rant about who knows what.
