Woman arrested for abandoning body of baby boy in man's apartment

A 27-year-old woman has been arrested for abandoning the body of a baby boy in the storage space above the closet in the home of a male acquaintance in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture, last month.
According to police, the suspect—identified as as Sachiko Takagi—entered the man’s apartment around April 13 and hid the baby’s body. The man, with whom she was not romantically linked, discovered the body roughly two weeks later while investigating the source of a bad smell emanating from a plastic bag.
Takagi has admitted to the charge of abandoning a corpse, but has refused to say if the baby was hers.

the child was not necessarily hers. it is possible that she just found it and thought it was her chance to play the classic "hide dead baby in your friend's closet" prank. she sure got him.
