The boy lost consciousness but is in a stable condition in hospital. (that's good news!)

the woman has admitted to having tried to kill her son, while husband and their youngest son were away. I guess she thought no witnesses was a good idea.. not... good neighbor dropped a dime.. Good for confessing, hope she can get some professional mental help.

She needs some professional help and get some anger management classes. She will attempt it again if nothing is done to protect the child. I hope the child doesn't have any permanent damage from losing consciousness.

Japan needs to pull mental illness out of the closet and start treating as an illness not a cold.

Let's hope he forgets and lives a long happy life.

I hope the kid will not have any lasting braindamage!

These incidents don't deserve being treated as mental illness. They're just cold blooded evil murderers and should get the appropriate punishment. Such crimes against children is unforgivable and no second chances should be allowed.

If the two year old was crying loud enough for the neighbor to think something was wrong, then it wasn't during the attack. It was either before or after the attack. You don't tend to do a lot of crying while being strangled.

Unless you know something about this woman that wasn't reported in the article, I don't see how you can call her a "cold blooded evil murderer". As far as the article is concerned, nobody has died.

I hope this woman is not allowed to live in the same house with those kids ever again.

How can an 'incident' be 'mental illness'? How can an 'incident' be an `evil murderer'?

Your disturbing lack of logic reveals a problem with your thought processes, as is often the case with those who would deny the reality of genuine mental illness.
