Woman attacked with box cutter in parking lot

TOKYO —

Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman with a box cutter as she was getting into her car Tuesday in a parking lot in the town of Mizuho. The two got into a struggle and the man fled, police said Thursday.

According to police, at around 3:30 p.m., the woman, 20, had left her part-time job at a shopping mall and had gotten into her car when the man suddenly pulled open the driver’s side door and thrust a knife at her. “Be quiet and move over!” he yelled, and attempted to get into the car. As the two began to struggle, the woman grabbed the knife and cut the man’s hand. He then fled.

Police say the man is 50-60 years old and was wearing black clothing, a white mask and a hat with saliva on it.

So he was probably drooling on his hat before he attacked the woman and the police are actually looking for the weapon with saliva to track his DNA. Who noticed this anyway, the police or the woman?

What a loser. 50-60 years old and he tries to carjack a 20-year-old? He's lucky she didn't brain him with her designer handbag and spear him through the foot with her Hello Kitty heels. Now if only she had chased him down and knocked him to the ground and put the boot in a few times before the police arrived; that would have made the story even sweeter. Take THAT, crook!

I'm thinking maybe it should have been "Saliva" instead of just saliva. Like a band name or just a strange hat that said "saliva," if you can imagine a Japanese item of clothing saying something strange... :P
