Woman found bound and murdered in Aichi apartment

Police said Tuesday they have launched a murder investigation after the body of a woman was found in her apartment in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, on Monday.
The 53-year-old woman was discovered by a male acquaintance who went to visit her and found the door unlocked at about 3:30 p.m., TBS reported. According to police, she was found naked, lying on the bed face up, and with both of her arms bound by adhesive tape. Police said she was strangled to death.
Police said the woman was an employee of a nearby restaurant, where she had been working until 11 p.m. on Nov 26. The manager of the restaurant said she was a hardworking and reliable person, and said he was unaware of anyone she might have been having trouble with, TBS reported.
The man who found her said he had been trying to contact her on Sunday by phone and email but had been unable to reach her, TBS reported.

Yikes! These incidents seem to be increasing more and more every day here in Japan! It also makes me sick to see all the tv shows here with so much of violence like this, makes me think the tv shows, mangas etc..in Japan are feeding this violence. RIP poor dead woman down there in Aichi.

The woman most likely had her arms bound by adhesive tape after her clothes were taken off. It would be difficult otherwise. I advise the killer to turn himself (herself) in. You will be apprehended.

Yep, sounds like a murder to me! Hopefully the killer left DNA all over the place and will be in a 4 foot by 4 foot gray, windowless cell soon, awaiting the hangman's noose!

She's 53. Possibility of rape.. I wonder. Unless she's a beautiful and sexy woman or something.... But revenge maybe. Japanese people seem nice and kind but I feel they just can't be happy for others.

Well said SpanishEyez37. Deeply offensive to suggest that only young and/or attractive women get raped. As you say, it's about power. The woman probably died in great fear- her appearance is irrelevant. RIP sister.

You say that like someone suggested that. Well nobody did. But its completely obvious that young attractive women get raped more than old or ugly ones. Operative word is more. Also, dressing sexy is shown to increase chances of rape by about ten percentage points. This is just the way it is.
Its about all of the above. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And every rape is committed with a varied mix of desire for sex and desire for control. The world is complicated, and simplistic slogans don't really help.
There is also a small chance this was consensual sex play gone wrong. After all, it is not easy to do anything with tape in a struggle, is it?
