Woman found dead in Ehime apartment; husband missing

A woman was found dead in her apartment Thursday night in Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture, police said Friday. She was found bleeding from the mouth, covered by a futon, police said, adding they are searching for her husband who is missing.
According to police, Mika Taniguchi, 42, was found by her mother-in-law at the apartment around 8 p.m. Police said the victim lives with her husband, two children and mother-in-law. When the mother-in-law came home, she found the children at home, but they have told police they didn’t realize anything had happened to their mother.
There has been no word about Taniguchi’s husband, Seiji, 44, since Thursday morning, police said.
