.Police protection should be provided to the senior citizens against such street violence in Japan.

Surveillance camers were hopefully around and will lead to the capture of those responsible. RIP.

What kind of a person does this kind of thing? If robery was motivation 79 y/o woman! Now murder!

You don't stab someone in the chest unless you've decided to commit murder. WHATEVER the motivation was for the attack, the assailant had already decided that she was to die.

Regardless of the motivation, after you've killed someone, what you thought would make you happy turns sour. You may think that "this one person is making my life a living hell. Or, by killing this person life would be better", This is but your mind trying to find an easy way out by blaming others.
As a wise man once said, "Take your life by the balls and steer it in the right direction". Find your flaws and work to correct it and be a better person.

Imabari is famous for their towels and gets tons of tourists daily especially from China. No doubt they have cameras and will hopefully get the a-hole soon.

Really? Something must have changed in the last few years.

Here, this stabbing. Unthinkable. And last weekend in Fujisawa, a yakuza-on-yakuza shooting, but no coverage here. What gives?

Stabbing an elderly lady(or ANYONE for that matter) should be unthinkable. RIP poor lady.
