Woman found stabbed to death on vacant floor of Gunma building

GUNMA —

A 53-year-old woman was found stabbed to death Monday morning on a vacant floor of a commercial building in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. According to police, the building owner found Junko Yoshida, 53, inside the vacant office on the first floor of building around 1:55 a.m., and called police.

Police said the victim had been stabbed in the chest and stomach. The owner told police that she often allowed people who come to nearby restaurants to use the toilet on the vacant floor.

    Sad to hear this. It sucks when someone with a little good will towards others no matter who they are pays the price for being kind.

    This doesn't give much details about why the stabbing occured or are the police still investigating the motive?

    That is quite true HonestDictator. Everyone should be cautious, especially if you are letting someone in a building to use something, and it is someone that you don't know.

    Wow, that is so sad... Sounds like it was just a robbery too... There was no reason for them to kill her just to get some cash...

    Oh, hey, I just remembered - isnt Gunma that place where a rash of stabbing have happened lately? 18 yr old stabbing a 9 yr old, somebody stabbing 7 to death in a post office, a Brazillian guy stabbing his girlfriend to death, and much more... Sounds like some sort of knifing epidemic in Gunma, and she is the latest victim.
