Police in Yokohama said Wednesday they are questioning a woman on suspicion of stabbing a 35-year-old woman in her apartment in Konan Ward on Tuesday night.

According to police, a passerby heard a woman cry for help from her balcony at around 6:20 p.m., Fuji TV reported. The victim shouted that she had been stabbed by another woman.

The passerby called 110 and police rushed to the apartment where they found the woman on the balcony, bleeding from stab wounds to the back of her head. She was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition, police said.

Police said the woman being questioned lives nearby and is an acquaintance of the victim.

another case of freaking out but more than likely the excuse will be due to the weather it was too hot and just couldn't take it anymore so stabbing someone makes them feel better

@stewart gale. Ok. Exaggeration maybe, but why does a stabbing garner media attention? Maybe I'll go stab someone so that I'll be on JT- not Japan Tobacco. My point was that people in conflict zones run the risk of being ''stabbed'' everyday.

Right, LOLOzo. Are those conflict zones well marked, so we can easily avoid them? DANGER....CONFLICT ZONE.
