Ozawa would do well to stay away from indonesia. Very dangerour place with a lot of radical islamic terrorists. See Bali, etc.

ashika1009, though at this point Im agreeing with you except for that last part you said about radical muslims in Indonesia. They're not terrorist. Not every muslim is a terrorist its just the irrational terrorist who proclaim themselves as muslims.

Not trying to dis you, but just making a point.

    Moderator: Stay on topic please.

Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu Indonesians are not objecting to Ozawa.

I think Indonesia is referred to as a "Muslim country" because 86.1% of the population reported themselves as Muslim in the 2000 census. (source: Wikipedia - Indonesia entry) Only 8.7% were Christian with the other religions even less. So the fact that Christians are not objecting to her arrival doesn't express the view of the vast majority of Indonesians.

True, but that doesn't mean that have the same opinion; its that the muslims have the sense to speak out first.

In that case, why are the US or European countries never referred to as "Christian countries"? You are confusing the term "muslim majority country" with "muslim country". Indonesia is the former, not the latter. You might want to look up "pancasila" sometime.

You ignore the context in Indonesia. It is the Indonesian muslim parties who have been trying to push their Sharia-inspired "pornography law" onto Indonesia for years, which would would subject all Indonesian women to islamic dress code. Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists have no Shariah and no interest in being under the burka.

Her movies are really excellent works of art, she's really bloomed in front of the camera since debuting in 2005. That's not the greatest photo of her by the way. In fact I would say it's one of the worst I've seen of her. What I would like to say is why people should view porn as controversal is beyond me. Maria is in charge of her body, image and career and that has to be commended.

Maria - call me hun okay!

Right again, but because the gov't in Indonesia is mostly muslim, they have the right what goes around their country. Although, I kinda find unconstitutional, but thats only if live in a non-predominately muslim country (ex. America, U.K, etc...)

I'm sure she's a hell lot of fun ... both physically and mentally! Something you cannot say about too many women who only care about their looks.

why are the US or European countries never referred to as "Christian countries"?

They are when it relates to the topic.

I mentioned Traci Lords earlier and her attempt to become a mainstream actress - but that was quite a while ago. The world keeps changing and maybe Ozawa will be the first to break through. Porn's not going away. It'll become more mainstream, less taboo, and even the definition of what constitutes porn will change. If Ozawa doesn't break through now and become both a porn star and a mainstream actress, some day someone will - probably male porn stars, too.

All hail porn. I'd just love my daughter to get involved in the industry. Loads of easy money. Well done SiouxGirl etc. I mean we can't control ourselves. We need this stuff so desperately. Drool, drool ... I just wonder how Ms. Ozawa sleeps at night. Well I hope. Conscience is a bugger.

    Random Task:

" [why are the US or European countries never referred to as "Christian countries?] They are when it relates to the topic. "

No, they are not. But Indonesia is routinely called a "muslim country", only because it has a muslim majority population.

I merely pointed out the double standard.
