Jake Lloyd? It would be terrifying to see him 10 years later.

No Harrison Ford? No Billy Dee Williams? No James Earl Jones? No Alec Guin.... nevermind.

Will they be offering a Jar Jar Binks punching bag? If not, the organizers should consider it. He was the most irritating character in the "Star War" series. That would be the most popular attraction at this convention.

Mr. Lucas so ripped off samurai[s] [swords] and kimonos in episodes IV-VI, and "Return of the Condor Heroes" (1959) in episodes I-III's story line. The "forbidden love" (Padme and Anakin vs. Yang Guo [student] and Little Dragon Girl [teacher]) is a classic.

Not to mention the age difference too (Padme (old lady) and Anakin (youngling) vs. Yang Guo (youngling) and Little Dragon Girl (old lady).

Is it "ripping off" or "homage."
There is a fine line.

Har! I'm with you there, RR! I didn't think it would be possible to come up with a more irritating character than C-3PO, but Jar Jar makes C-3PO look cool.

Agree on the fact that Lucas drew so much inspiration from the old kurosawa movies (even he says so) as well as the various story lines from Louis Cha novels. That said, I don't think any director (asian or non-asian) could have made the six movies he did when he did, any better than he did. The two trilogies along with his collaberation with Speilberg on the Indy Jones movies were without doubt some of the best movies that I could just sit and enjoy with an open mind whilst using little of my already limited intellectual capcity!
