Abductee Megumi Yokota's mother writes lyrics for song

TOKYO —

Sakie Yokota, the mother of Megumi Yokota who was abducted by North Korea in 1977 aged 13, has written lyrics for a song which will be released on a CD on Saturday, Sakie Yokota said Friday.

The lyrics for the song, “Like Cosmos,” are based on the memories of Sakie and Megumi when the Yokotas were living in Niigata Prefecture at the time of the abduction. The music was composed by singer-songwriter Makoto Iwabuchi.
