Actress Erika Sawajiri and media creator Tsuyoshi Takashiro get married at Meiji Shrine

TOKYO —

Actress Erika Sawajiri, 22, and media creator Tsuyoshi Takashiro, 44, tied the knot on Monday at Meiji Shrine in Yoyogi in front of friends and family, and also a large media contingent plus a thousand or so fans and onlookers.

The media throng of roughly 200 and the thousand or so onlookers got a glimpse of Sawajiri as she walked along the corridors toward the inner shrine. She wore a white kimono featuring embroidered gold cranes, a large headpiece made of lilies, and colored contact lens. The many people on the sidelines kept congratulating her and telling her she looked beautiful. Sawajiri kept her head slightly down, but was all smiles from start to finish.

The media got wind of their upcoming marriage just before Sawajiri and Takashiro returned to Japan from London in late December. The pair registered their marriage on Jan 7, which fell on the most auspicious of the days - or “taian” - according to the six-day “rokuyo” calendar, and they will hold a small reception in Hawaii for their close friends later this month.

The Japanese media is reporting that the whole thing only cost 800,000 yen, and that her wedding was super cheap. My friends who got married at Meiji-jingu isn't wealthy, so maybe not that expensive.

Never mind... With yesterday's "show," this game of her is getting deeper, more complicated and more dangerous. This brat definitely has reached the point of no return.

Now I start to feel the frailty of SDP not being able to keep things under control, and now, this. They could have restrained her mindset and demeanor a bit more so as not to have this wedding controversy/tragedy happen.

Oh BTW, Inoue Kozo mentioned that their "divorce probability" is 98%.

Pathetic news...sad sad place if this is news...

Potsu -- agree. And the fact that it took a "media throng of roughly 200" to cover it, attests to what ridiculous heights celebrity worship has gotten here. A hundred bucks says they'll be dozens of brides wearing a knock-off of that dead bird/hat she's wearing within a few weeks.

  • Nessie at 10:07 PM JST - 20th January

A media creator? Yeah, me too.

    I just created media.

There, I did it again. I'm a genius.

Oh wow, did you see that? Everything is centred around her so I guess that is why she is smiling. Guess things will be back to normal when she is on stage promoting her next movie and looking like a sourpuss.
