On the other hand, I have yet to be associated with any product safety issues. I'm up for the job. Give us a call. I could do with an ambassadorship on my resume.
is there a translation of "due diligence???????" her agents should have looked into her career before any of this. wait a minute - wouldn`t agents know about her career? too bad for her.
This is why being a celebrity and supporting a product by appearing in their advertisements can be a really bad idea. Anyone remember Charlie Sheen appearing in cigarette commercials here quite a while ago? I don't think he'd do that in the States.
Of course, I'm sure that any of us posters here on JT would be fully qualified for the position ...
Seriously, why can't the girl appear in ads for product safety? Are they saying that she is guilty by association? Anybody think of the idea of "I used to think these heaters were safe but then I got educated" ad campaign?
Resignation (or seppuku) are just the easy ways out...
The public are stupid to buy into the celebrity endorsements. I like Harrison Ford but I could not care less if he is trying to sell me tires for my car.
Having said that, it is also stupid that she would have to "resign" becuase she appeared in some ads for a defective product. She didnt design it or manufacture it. She was eye candy/brand name.
i cant believe they could be so stupid. the people didnt check her resume? Of course the poor lady had nothing to do with the incident, however, she was Palomas's CM model for 19 YEARS dammit!, so this whole thing is partly her fault.
the J-gov should hire Britney Spears for their Road Safety campaign or Owen Wilson in their campaign to stop suicides. Amy Winehouse for the anti-drug campaign?

I wonder if it's because other appliance manufacturers thought it might give Paloma an advantage, seeing as how she had shilled for them before.
Now they just need a celeb who's never done appliance ads.

Hard to find one that hasn't indirectly endorsed silicone.
