Actress Megumi Yokoyama joins Oscar Promotion camp

Actress Megumi Yokoyama, 39, has joined major talent agency Oscar Promotion, which represents such stars as Ryoko Yonekura, Aya Ueto and Rei Kikukawa.

Yokoyama said, “I would like to do much better as an actress. I want to be able to express the emotional aspects of a character better.” Asked about Yonekura, with whom she will appear in the stage play “Kurokawa no techo” next spring, she said, “Ms Yonekura has a sort of aura. I’m looking forward to working with her.”

Responding to a question about her husband, who is an executive of American Express, Yokoyama said, “He is indifferent to fashion. I need to coordinate his clothes. Otherwise, he would wear the same old jeans which he used to wear when he was a student.” On the question of starting a family, she said: “I’m busy now. I have to focus on work at the moment.”

Megumi has made up her mind. The work is more important than having a family. What a sad choice. To choose not to have any descendants, not to experience the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the things that make life worthwhile living. Is she hot, you say? In what way? For who, the googlers, for what? I'm sure she is going to regret not planning on having offspring. But I do know about those husbands who were trained to just pass exams and have all domestic affairs arranged by their mothers and subsequently by their wives. They can't even cook a bowl of rice, flush the toilet or make a cup of coffee. I would be worried about starting a family too.
