TOKYO —
Actress Ryoko Yonekura, 32, will play the role of a criminal who plans a perfect murder in a special TV drama to mark the 50th anniversary of TV Asahi. The drama, “Koori no Hana,” is based on a mystery novel by Setusko Amano, in which the pianist wife of a doctor turns to murder after she gets a phone call from his secret lover.
Yonekura said, “I’ve just finished playing a police officer in ‘The Negotiator’ (another drama on TV Asahi). But this time, I will be on the other side of the law, which is fun.”

Playing a pianist, she'll really have a chance to expand. Every actress in Japan must have pianist envy right now.
I'm looking forward to the obligatory somebody-sick-in-hospital scenes . . .

See! If you keep forcing your kids to play 2 hours piano a day, 7 days a week she/he could end playing in a drama. Worth it I think.

"pianist wife of a doctor"
How many doctor's wives are pianists?

Yonekura rocks. Quite rare in Japan, a more mature real woman. Not one of those skinny teenage talents whose sole purpose in life is to be cute. Real women rock.

It sounds like a movie which is worth looking into.
