TOKYO —
Actress Takako Matsu, 31, who got married last December, on Monday started her stage play “Sisters” at Parco Theater in Shibuya. Matsu, who plays the role of a young wife, said, “I don’t know if my private life has some influence over my stage performance. We’ll see.”
Actress Anne Suzuki, 21, who has just finished 2-month language lessons in New York, appears as a sister of Matsu living with their father at a hotel. She said, “I’m a big fan of Matsu and I’m happy to work with her. Without my experience in New York, I would find this a really difficult role.”
“Sisters” runs until Aug 3.

If seeing a Broadway play during your stay in NY doesn't qualify you to act on stage in Japan, what does?
